This is a wonderful opportunity for the girls and a perfect way to introduce our study of Immigration. While we are there we will visit a courtroom with Judge Hannah Lauck, who will explain to the girls how our justice system works.  It’s an incredible morning for the Fourthies, and we are thrilled that they will have this experience.

We're Speaking a New Language and It's Called Coding....3D Design Project

Hi everyone,

The Fourthie 3D Design project has been a fabulous adventure into the world of coding and 3D Design.  Our class is so excited about selling the designs that many of them created and made in this cutting edge, new age machine!

See the list below, so that you will know the times these designs will be sold next Saturday, April 16!

Pam

Dear Parents,

Your daughters have been enjoying the 4th Grade Design project.  They have worked hard and learned many new things.  Our culminating event, the sale of the 3D objects, is next Saturday, April 16, 2016.  Forty-nine students signed up to help at the sale.  There are three time slots and each requires six volunteers, 18 volunteers total.  Below you will find the volunteer’s work schedule.  We truly regret that not all the students could be chosen to work the sale table. More information will be sent home with the volunteers next week outlining specifics for Saturday. Thank you for your support with this project.

Bike Day Information

March 2016
Dear Parents,
On Monday, April 11th, 3rd and 4th grade students will go to our Goochland campus to learn about helmet and bike safety. To participate in bike day, your daughter will need to bring a helmet to school. Any helmet with the CPSC, Snell or ASTM stamp of approval is a perfectly safe helmet. To help ensure that all students have a helmet on bike day, please send helmets in by Thursday, April 7th.

The 3rd grade will leave St. Catherine’s at 9am and return at 12:30pm. The 4th grade will leave St. Catherine’s at 11am and return at 2:30pm. The entire group will eat lunch together from 11:30-12pm.

Please make sure that your daughter wears appropriate clothes and that she packs a lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen on Monday, April 11th.

Before bike day, please take some time with your daughter to review biking and helmet safety by going to www.youtube.com and searching “NHTSA's Bike Safe, Bike Smart” for a short video.
We look forward to teaching your daughters about biking skills and safety.
